General settings

As a team owner or team admin, you can configure your team's default room's general settings.

• Language Select a default language for the room’s UI. Supported languages: English, Español, Deutsch (Persönlich), Deutsch (Förmlich).

• Enable language selection Allow each user to control application UI language on their side.

• Roles Select a subset of roles to be added to your new rooms by default. The order in which they’re added will be the order in which they appear in the Participants panel.

• Default role Select a role to be assigned to participants who join with no token (shared link to public room) or with a token without a role.

• End-to-end encryption Secure usernames, chat messages, and video / audio streams, including shared screens with encryption keys that only participants in the room have access to.

E2EE is supported only on Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge and other Chromium-based browsers, as well as Firefox 117 and above. Participants using other browsers will not be allowed joining, and will be prompted to use one of the above.

Participants joining an end-to-end encrypted session will not be able to read any previously posted chat messages.

Token-carried usernames will not be end-to-end encrypted in sessions set with E2EE.

E2EE will be suspended while sessions are being recorded. All participant stream exchanges will continue to be end-to-end encrypted; however, our recorder will access the encryption key to decrypt the recording before storing, so that it's made available for watching, resulting in this temporary suspension of E2EE.

E2EE is incompatible with Captions. Captions will be disabled in end-to-end encrypted sessions.

• Show logo in room When enabled, the logo will be shown in the rooms, by default.

• End session When enabled, the "End session" button will be available in the toolbar.
